Production Welder
Description:
The Production Welder is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining a production laser welding machine.
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to read and understand standard measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers
High degree of hand dexterity for parts fixturing
Corrected vision to 20/20 required for part setup and weld inspection
Experience with setting up and operating a YAG laser (preferred)
Details:
Second shift position (3–11:30 pm)
Hourly wage compensation, commensurate with experience
Metal Belt Processor
Perform routine tasks in the preparation and setup of metal belts to be welded.
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Properly cutting belt strip to length per B/P finish welds and sanding the edges of all welded bands (involves the operations of flattening, edge sanding and buffing of surfaces)
Performing simple weld tasks as requested
Setting up production bands on welding fixtures and aligning for welding, and inspecting all bands for surface features
Polishing, deburring and checking belt preparations or impressions
Using appropriate jigs and fixtures, as well as cutting, polishing, deburring, sanding and dimensional equipment
Working from detailed specifications and drawings
Packaging of finished belts for shipping per approved standards
Maintaining logs or records as required; reporting faulty equipment, improper operations and unusual conditions to the appropriate level of supervision
Following prescribed standards for safety and housekeeping
Performing a variety of other duties as required or directed
Having the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs.
